Introducing Perpetual Chess Happy Hour (Weekly Adult Intermediate LEVEL ZOOM Chess Classes)🍻

When: The next set of classes will take place every Wednesday for 8 weeks, from March 24 to May 12, 2021. There will be classes at different levels at 7:30 EST and 9 EST on Wednesdays. Each class will be 75 minutes.
Where: On Zoom!
For Whom:
7:30pm EST class will be for up to 1400 USCF (based on “Step 2” books)
9pm EST class will be for those rated up to 1600 USCF (based on “Step 3” books)
Note that a lot of the online ratings are different (for example, Lichess rapid ratings are about 300 points higher than USCF), so if you would like my advice about which class is more appropriate for you, please do not hesitate to email me.
Format: Instead of reviewing Grandmaster positions, as I have in the past, I will be trying a more targeted format. We will be doing a combination of curriculum material from the “Steps Method,” as well as doing game analysis of the students. The idea for the format change will be to work on learning chess fundamentals more systematically. Homework will not be graded for the classes, but further work recommendations will be given for those who have the Steps workbooks. (Step workbooks are not provided with the class tuition)
Cost: The cost for 8 weeks of 90 minutes classes is $120. If you sign up for classes and decide they aren’t for you, a pro-rated refund will be issued with no questions asked.
Buying accompanying chess workbooks (for $10) with each class is recommended, but not required.
How big will the classes be? Classes will require a minimum of 8 enrollees, and a maximum of 14.

Payment is due by March 21 at 11:59 EST, and spots can longer be guaranteed for registered participants if payment hasn’t been received by then.
